FAQ & Care
If this has a weight limit of 275 lbs, but the hammock has a weight limit of 450lbs, which guideline should we follow?
How much end to end space does this stand need ?
Will it scratch the wooden floor if I used it indoor, or the corners are made of rubber? Plastic?
No, every corner has a plastic cap.
Will the stand catch rust if left in the open?
This frame is powder coated and will resist rust for a long time. If it gets dented or scraped, it will begin to rust where there is exposed steel. I left mine outside all summer last year, and the only signs of rust stains were where the tubes connect. I greased up those areas of the tubes really good when I put it back together this year. This is a very heavy-duty frame. I've been happy with it.
This hammock is PERFECT! When it was shipped to me the box did get damaged and a pole was missing but after the company sent me a replacement I was able to put it together in 5 minutes! The two beams lay out and connect to the base pole by sliding in and the little metal button just needs to be aligned with the hole and pop in. Once you see that, it is ready to go to the next step which is inserting the next 2 upright beams the same way. SO easy!
I have been wanting a stand for some time now. I have 2 hammocks. I actually love it, but with the space i have i ether had to remove my picnic table and i use my tablet every day. So, there is a tree with a branch i can use.and im going to dig a hole for pole and add a huck to hang a hammock. I'm the mean time my mother is using it. She's has plenty of space to enjoy it. She un hucks the hammock when ever she's not using it. She falls asleep really quick. Better than in her own bed.
The 12-ft stand (for the Lazy Daze double sided hammock w/spreader bar & pillow, 78"x55", 450 lb capacity) is very nice but way too short. Once in hammock, I—at 135 lbs—am barely off the ground. Since Lazy Daze sells both products, they should clearly state that this particular hammock requires the 15-ft. stand. I just submitted feedback stating such, and asked if they could send the 15-ft center pole Instead of an entire stand. Truly, I'm satisfied about the timely delivery and the high-quality product. Five starts for all that! But the seller gets only three-four stars for making this unnecessarily complicated. I'll update this review once I hear back from the seller.
