Cleaner Cotton: Over half of our cotton hammocks use OEKO-TEX® certified fabric. This certification ensures that our cotton is free from harmful chemicals and is produced using sustainable water and energy practices. Plastic Reimagined: We are incorporating recycled polyester into some of our hammock designs. This material is made from discarded plastic bottles, turning waste into durable, eco-friendly fabric. Though we are still scaling this effort, each hammock made from recycled materials represents a step forward in reducing plastic waste.

Closing the Loop: At Lazy Daze, fabric scraps don’t go to waste. Leftover cotton is repurposed into pet bed stuffing, while synthetic offcuts are recycled into industrial materials. This practice ensures that nearly everything has a second life and reduces our overall environmental impact.
Dyes That Do No Harm: We use water-saving dye techniques that significantly reduce water consumption compared to traditional methods. Paired with AZO-free, low-impact dyes, we are able to create vibrant colors while keeping harmful chemicals out of waterways.
Coatings You Can Trust: We use zero-VOC coatings from AkzoNobel to finish our hammocks. These coatings protect the fabric and ensure that no harmful chemicals are released into the air, making them safer for both our customers and the environment.

Boxes with a Second Life: Our packaging is made from 100% recyclable cardboard, and we’ve reduced plastic use by nearly half since 2022. Inside, we use shredded recycled paper or compostable fillers, instead of foam, to protect the hammock during transit.
